Created in 1977 WDP is a real estate company specializing in warehouses, or smart warehouses as they themselves proclaim. The smart referring to the companies strategy of making highly energy efficient warehouses.

The company choses where to place it’s warehouses based on locations that are of great logistical value. With this strategy and the determination to make highly energy efficient warehouses, WDP has managed to become market leader in: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Germany and Romania.

There will always be need for storage, and there is no shortage of locations that serve this purpose. The fact that WDP has become market leader in the areas in which they operate is impressive. The question is whether the company will continue to expand it’s dominant position to other regions, or be swept aside by another party. One thing is certain, it´s strategies so far have gotten them to where they are now, so there is no obvious reason to think otherwise for the future.

The dividend is paid out yearly and there appears to be a level of growth to look forward to, which may of may not last. The only real downside is the 30% taxes that is charged seeing as it’s a Belgium company.
